WHAT IS DISCORD?

Discord is a text and voice chat community with multiple channels and a ton of interactivity built in. They also have group video chat coming soon.

WHY SHOULD I CARE?

We’ve set up pledge-specific channels for our Patreon backers, which we’ll be using moving forward for things like polls, monthly video streams, and just hanging out with the ZOE/DG community.

WAIT, SO ZOE/DG MEMBERS WILL BE USING THIS TOO?

That’s right. In fact, we’re migrating all of our internal discussion servers from Slack to Discord, which means that it will be much easier to interact with us, ask questions, and provide thoughts and feedback.

HOW DO I GET IT?

You can head over to your account settings page and click on the Connect to Discord button to connect your Discord and Patreon accounts. If that doesn’t work, follow the instructions at this link: patreon.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/212052266. You should be connected automatically to the ZOE Discord server!

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T USE IT?

We’ll keep posting on Patreon, but this will be the fastest and easiest way to participate in polls, provide monthly ideas and feedback on upcoming episodes, and join video chat with our team.

IS THIS CONNECTED TO FUTURE LIVESTREAMING PLANS?

Why yes, yes it is.

WHERE CAN I USE IT?

Discord is available for your browser, iOS, and Android.
